Creating Safer Learning Environments
Consider I.T. Solved.
Educational institutions need secure campuses, reliable technology, and solutions that support students, staff, and visitors.
Sound familiar?
What schools, colleges and districts tell us most.
01
Safety without a fortress feel
Campuses need to stay open and welcoming while knowing who is on site and being ready for an emergency.
02
Networks under pressure
Testing, streaming, devices and visitors all share the same Wi-Fi, and it has to hold.
03
Student and staff data
Records, grades and payment information attract attackers and carry real obligations.
04
Small teams, big environments
A few IT staff support hundreds or thousands of users and devices.
How we help
One partner for the technology and the physical side, planned together.
01
Technology Services
Managed IT with 24/7 help desk, NOC and SOC. Responsive support with proactive monitoring, patching and security operations around the clock.
Cybersecurity monitoring. Endpoint protection, email filtering and security operations that watch around the clock.
Password and credential management. 1Password for your whole team, so shared logins give way to individual, auditable access.
Wi-Fi and infrastructure. Networks designed for classrooms, testing and administration, with guest and student traffic kept apart.
Backup and recovery. Tested backups and a recovery plan for the systems classes depend on.
Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Secure setup and clean account lifecycle for staff and students.
Line-of-business support. We coordinate with your student information, learning-management and payment system vendors.
02
Physical Security
Camera systems. Coverage planned around entrances, hallways, parking and perimeters.
Access control. Badges and mobile credentials for staff, with doors that lock on schedule.
Visitor management. Check-in and screening at the front office, with a record of who is in the building.
Emergency response integration. Tools planned around your real emergency procedures and your first responders.
Lockdown and panic buttons. Fast, quiet alerts for staff.
Vape and noise sensors. Alerts for restrooms and common areas without cameras in private spaces.
Vehicle recognition and parking lots. Know who is coming and going, and keep a record.
Where we focus
Safer campuses
Cameras, access control, visitor management, and lockdown tools planned around real emergency procedures.
Reliable learning infrastructure
Wi-Fi and networks that hold up when classrooms, testing, and administration depend on them.
Protected student and staff data
Managed IT and security monitoring that safeguard student and staff information.
Compliance conversations, made easier
Support for the rules you work under
Education organizations balance open learning with strict responsibilities for student information. We help you show that safeguards are in place.
Ready-to-use policies and procedures. A policy library with the documents for the specific regulations that apply to you, kept up to date for you, with room for custom policies written for your organization.
Staff training tracking. A framework that records which employees have been trained on which policies, so you can show it when asked. It connects to Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory, or accepts a manual CSV import.
FERPA and student records. Access controls, logging and account reviews that support your obligations to protect student records.
Internet filtering requirements. Help with web filtering where programs such as E-rate require it (CIPA).
PCI DSS for payments. Securing card payments for tuition, fees, lunch accounts and events.
NIST-aligned controls and state requirements. Safeguards organized around NIST frameworks, with support for state student-data privacy rules.
Cyber insurance questionnaires. Help answering the application and renewal questions, and closing the gaps.
Tight Technologies provides technical and operational support. We are not a law firm or an auditor, and no vendor can make an organization compliant on its own. Rules that apply to you may include FERPA, CIPA, PCI DSS, state student-privacy laws and your insurance carrier’s requirements; your counsel or auditor can confirm.

Questions we hear
Can you work around the school calendar?
Yes. We schedule changes around classes, testing and breaks, and plan larger projects for summer when we can.
Do you provide policies and procedures, and track staff training?
Yes. Every client gets access to a current policy library covering the regulations that apply to them, and a framework that tracks which employees have been trained on each policy. Tracking connects to Microsoft Entra ID or Active Directory, or you can import staff by CSV.
Can policies be customized for our organization?
Yes. The policies stay current as requirements change, and we can add custom policies for the way your organization works.
Do you replace our existing student systems?
No. We are vendor neutral and coordinate with the vendors who run your student information and learning platforms.
Can you help with lockdown and emergency tools?
Yes. We plan them around your emergency procedures and work with your first responders on what makes sense.
What about after-hours problems?
Our help desk, network operations and security operations support runs 24/7.
